This English Language Study (ESP) Book discusses some topics namely; The origins of language, animals and human language, the sounds and pattern of language, word formation, morphology, first language acquisition, second language acquisition, gesture and sign language, language written, language variation. these11 papers and literature reviews are recorded in book chapters. This book chapter is part of the PBI Research Group program at Muhammadiyah University Sidenreng Rappang, which was written by several teaching staff and packaged in one topic. The topic of the book chapter refers to the 4 pillars of conservation that have been formulated by PBI UMS Rappang, namely (1) Pure Linguistics, (2) Applied Linguistics, (3) English for Specific Purposes (ESP), 4 ICT in ELT.
